Gwinnett Holistic Psychiatry hosted a Relational Communication Workshop on June 21, 2025.  We were so excited how well this went and what a great start!  Here are some pictures from that day.

*Artist's statement:
"I wasn’t enjoying photography any longer; the perfect image wasn’t mine. I felt like I had fallen behind. This digital pace was too much so I gave up and sold all my camera gear.
But after a few years time I eventually came back to the black box, this time with a new perspective.

I stopped comparing my art to others; stopped posting images for likes online. I found a way around the “noise”, eventually asking the question, “Who am I photographing for?”  

So with this insight, I have begun printing my photography while not waiting for perfection. And now that I can feel the thickness and texture of the paper between my fingers again, it reminds me of a photograph's original fragile place in the world and my first Polaroid - my father sitting on the front steps. This is where I want to be.

Digital photography has both destroyed and remade my artistic path but I am grateful. And I hope to keep sharing my art with those I know and will know."
