Dr. Thomas Yun has decades of experience in Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. In addition to his expertise in medication management, Dr. Yun was trained in psychotherapy by psychoanalysts from the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis. His therapeutic style is grounded in the non-judgmental approach of Carl Rogers and also deeply influenced by the ideas of Carl Jung. He has received training from the Integrative Psychiatry Institute.
He has a very broad view of humanity based on his first hand experiences with Native American and indigenous rituals, New Age practices, and his direct participation in the art scenes of Chicago and San Francisco. He has attended conferences sponsored by the International Association for the Study of Dreams and he regularly participates in dream work groups.
